Per Boelskifte is a researcher on innovation and product development, where he focuses on functional industrial design. Boelskifte has been the driving force in the establishment of DTU’s degree in Design Engineering: Design & Innovation, whose aim is to train engineers who can create products at a highly complex level, but with an emphasis on user-orientation, user experience and aesthetics.
Educated as architect (cand. arch.) from The Royal Danish Art Academy, Institute for Industrial Design (1978). Professor of Design at DTU, Technical University of Denmark, Department of Mechanical Engineering, DTU-MEK (2004). Since 2005, Studies for Civil Bachelor Direction Design & Innovation at DTU. Awards received: ID prize / Danish Design Prize 1980, 85, 87, 89, 90, 92, 95 and 96 for Christian Design AS, including “Bates Combi System”, which was also awarded the European Innovation Award in 1997 and “DigiFocus” Oticon, also received the European Innovation Prize 1997. Envidere 2 Gute Industrieform prizes in 1985, 87.
