Educated cand.rer.soc from Southern University of Denmark. Working as a project manager for a culture house, lectured at the University of Southern Denmark, consultant and researcher in the Development center of General Education and Adult Education.

Member of Parliament (1994-2007), of which 4 years was spent as culture minister. In parallel Member / Chairman of a number of campaigns and projects – including the Danish Brundland Campain.

Currently Vice President of Cumulus, board member of KRUUSE A / S and Garden Communications and member of the advisory board for Constitution celebration in 2015.
