Christian Nicholas Stadil (1971) is the owner of Thornico, a conglomerate he started in the 1990s with his father Thor Stadil. Thornico spans around 120 operating companies in a wide spectrum ranging from food to technology, sport and fashion, shipping packaging and investments including the early stage of start-ups. In this context, he is also on the Board, Advisory Board with and / or is co-founder and seed investor in various companies such as MÄT, Stine Goya, Tattoodo, ALLUNITE, Washa, FIRtal Group, Istid, Woomio, Earlabs etc.

He is part of several think-tanks among other Big Future and Deputy Chairman of the DBU’s Female Football Commission. He is also Adjunct Professor at CBS in creative leadership.
He is especially known for the success of his work with the company Hummel, which he took over in 1999. Hummel has since become a brand rooted in the world of sports and is also involved in projects in the world’s hotspots: for example, in Afghanistan and Sierra Leone during a promise and why to Change the World through Sport. He is also the author of the business philosophy “Company Karma”- his rethinking of traditional paths into CSR, branding and and HR where Christian Stadil works in a hard karma concept: that everything has consequences and comes back to you, just as it is based on a quadruple win based on the great idea of “doing good whilst doing business.”

Christian Stadil has several books to his credit. Recently ‘Bathing with Picasso’ written with Professor of creativity Lene Tanggaard. Together they explore how creative minds work with their creative sides and how to translate this into businesses and economy. With a love for the nerdy and quirky he is committed and driven by refraction between art, culture, design and business. One of the main points of his work is focused on interdependence – of the connectedness of all things – of which he is characterized by a zealous work of breaking down silos in organizations and cross-fertilization between the spheres which is why he insists on investigating the possibilities on the edge of the box.
